This variety is one of the first to produce green leaves in spring, and the autumn colours come later and stay on the stems all winter. Medium green leaves turn rich copper in autumn. For hedges 3ft (90cm) upwards Plant 9-18ins (23-45cm) apart. Trim in late summer. In tree form, can reach 35ft (11m) in 20 years, and eventually to 100ft (30m).
