	Forsythia Intermedia. 'Goldzauber' Ref: FOfor02 This tough and thick shrub produces masses of bright yellow flowers in the early spring. The flowers appear late April to early May and, on closer inspection, reveal that they are orange in the throat. This is a hardy shrub, which can either be trimmed as a formal hedge or left slightly informal. It will tolerate exposed situations, and semi-shade, growing to around 2m in height. It grows by about 45cm each year so needs a trim to keep it looking tidy. Just cut back branches that have flowered soon after flowering and again in August and remove some of the old branches right down to the ground to encourage new growth and a compact shape. 	Pieris 'Mountain Fire' Ref: FOpie01 Also known as the lily of the valley shrub, this hardy evergreen plant has thick, glossy, brilliant red young foliage, which matures into chestnut brown. Ball Shaped Lavender Tree Ref: FOlud01

This is a classic garden lavender, grown as a ball shaped tree. Simply trim in the spring after the frosts to keep the shape, and in the summer the familiar scented deep purple flowers will shoot out from the ball to add scent and colour to the garden during the summer months.
